Aetna life insurance customers can access and manage their policies online through the website. Policyholders are required to name a beneficiary upon purchase of a policy. Below is an overview of the login, registration and claim process for a life cover.
How to Login
Step 1 – on the homepage, click on the login button as shown below.
Step 2 – You will be redirected to the login page, enter your login credentials on the respective fields and click ‘Secure Log In’
- Forgot user name – To recover your username, you will be required to enter your member ID, date of birth, zip code and SSN.
- Forgot password – To rest your password, you will be required to enter your username and date of birth. Click Continue to kick-start the process.
Enroll in Online Access
Step 1 – Go to the homepage and click on register as shown below.
Step 2 – You will be redirected to the enrollment page where you will be required to select how you want to register. You can choose between using your social security number or member ID number. You will also be required to enter your name, zip code and date of birth. Click ‘Continue’.
Step 3 – Follow prompt to complete the enrollment process.
Step 1 – Open mobile.aetna.com on the browser of your mobile device.
Step 2 – Enter your login credentials and click ‘Secure Log In’ to access your account.
Make a Claim
Claims can only be made by beneficiaries after the death of the policyholder by calling 1-800-523-5065. Claims are usually paid within 15 business days. It could take longer if the claim is related to an accident.
