Access your American General Life Insurance policy from your computer, tablet, or mobile device by registering for an online account. Once you are enrolled for online access you will be able to view policy details, track claims, update contact/billing information, and more.
Note: Since American General is a division of AIG some of the below instructions may have you go through the AIG website in order to access your account.
How to Log In
Step 1 – Go to the main AIG login page (http://www.aig.com/login).
Step 2 – Click the “Login to Consumer Life Insurance Portal” link as outlined below. You will be transferred to the main sign-in screen.
Step 3 – Enter your ID and password into the form, and then hit the sign in button to access your policy.
Forgot Password – Press the “Forgot Password?” link on the sign-in screen. Enter your ID and then press the submit button. Follow the on-screen instructions to recover your password.
Enroll in Online Access
Step 1 – Click the “Create Profile” link on the sign-in page.
Step 2 – Enter your policy number, last name, date of birth, ZIP code, email address, and phone number(s). Press the continue button and then create an ID/password.
Make a Payment
Step 1 – Sign into the online portal to make an online payment. If you need support or have billing questions call the service line at 1-(866) 856-6855.
File a Claim
Step 1 – Go to the claims page (here – link will open in a separate tab/window).
Step 2 – Download the required forms and them mail them to the address listed on the page.
