Costco auto insurance is offered in conjunction with Amerprise, therefore customers must use the Ameriprise website in order to access their online account. Benefits of having an online account include the ability to view policy information, print out ID cards, make payments, and more. The guides below detail how to log in, register a new account, reset your password, and report a claim.
How to Log In
Step 1 – Go to the Ameriprise/Costco website by clicking here (link opens in a new browser tab/window).
Note: Click the login link at the top of this page to go directly to the main sign-in page.
Step 2 – Press either the “Access My Policy” link or the “Login” link (both options can be seen in the screenshot below).
Step 3 – On the main sign-in page, enter your user ID and password into the login form near the bottom of the page.
Forgot Password – Click the “Password” link under the login form. In order to create a new password you must enter your user ID and then verify your identity.
Enroll in Online Access
Step 1 – On the main login page, click the “Register Now” link below the sign-in form.
Step 2 – Enter your last name, policy number, social security number, and date of birth.
Step 3 – Create your login credentials (user ID/password), and then choose/answer your account’s security questions.
Make a Payment
Step 1 – On the main sign-in page click the “Make a Payment” button.
Step 2 – Verify your identity (enter your name, date of birth, ZIP, and policy number).
Step 3 – Enter your payment details.
Make a Claim
Step 1 – Go to the main claims page by clicking here.
Step 2 – Click the “Report a Claim” link.
Step 3 – Select the type of claim you want to report.
Note: Only an auto claim where no one was injured can be reported online. All other claims must be reported over the phone.
