If you’re interested in getting a free health insurance quote from Cigna you should visit the website during an open enrollment period (unless you’ve had a “qualifying event”). If the open enrollment period has lapsed, follow the guide posted below to learn how to apply for an individual insurance plan.
Note: To learn more about what benefits and coverages you may qualify for go to the “Summary of Benefits and Coverage” page and then select which state you live in.
How to Get a Quote
Step 1 – Go to the homepage by clicking here or pressing the “Quote” button at the top of this page.
Note: Links open in a new window/tab.
Step 2 – Hover over the “Individual and Family Plans” link, and then press “View Health Plans.”
Step 3 – Select your state from the drop-down list. After selecting your state, a .PDF form will load. This is the application form that must be printed out, completed, and then sent to a broker of the Cigna health insurance offices (specific address details can be found at the bottom of the .PDF).
Step 4 – The application form is around seven pages long (overall length depends on which state you live in), and is comprised of 11 main sections:
- Type of Application
- Enrollment Criteria
- Benefit Plan Options
- Applicant, Spouse, and Dependent Information
- Current Coverage/Prior Dental Coverage
- Important Details (methods of contact)
- Payment Method
- Statement of Accountability
- Producer Section
- Authorization/Conditions & Agreement
