Free New York State Health Insurance Quote

Individuals/families, small business owners, and even brokers can all use the online marketplace to view policy/plan options. Once you create an account and provide your personal details you will be able to review your plan options and choose which one you would like to apply for.

How to Get a Quote

Step 1 – Start by going to the main site (https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/).

Step 2 – Click the “Get Started” button (outlined in the screenshot).


Step 3 – Enter your ZIP code into the input field as seen below, complete the security verification (“captcha”) and then hit the “View Plan Options” button.


Step 4 – Use the “Filter Options” section to filter the results. You can select your county, plan year, persons covered (individual, family, etc.), overall quality rating (general rating of the health plan), type of coverage (medical, dental, etc.), metal level (how expensive the plan is), insurance company, and HIOS plan ID. Click the search button at the bottom of the filter section to apply the changes.


Step 5 – Scroll down the page to review your plan options. View detailed information by clicking the “View Details” or “Quality” details links under each plan. You can also select several plans and then hit the “Compare Plans” button to view comparisons of each policy.
