GAINSCO Auto Insurance Claim | Make a Payment

Pay your GAINSCO Auto Insurance bill online via the payment link on the website (see below for specific instructions). There are also three other ways you can make a payment including by phone (1.866.GAINSCO – check/debit/credit card), in-person at your agent’s office (cash, card, or check), or through standard mail. Go to this page to review all payment options as well as for links to the FAQ and contact pages. If you want to enroll for automatic payments (check, debit/credit card) call 1.866.GAINSCO to have a representative set it up for you. Need to make a claim? How to Make a Payment

Step 1 – Make an online payment by going to the payments page (link opens in a new tab/window) and then clicking the “Pay Online” link/button.


Step 2 – Fill in your policy number/ZIP code and then complete the captcha. Press the continue button to load the next section.


Step 3 – After you have located your policy you will be able to enter your payment details (method, amount, date, etc.).

File a Claim

Step 1 – If you need to report an accident you must call 1.866.GAINSCO (available Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

Note: The customer service line is available in both English and Spanish.

Step 2 – Have the following information ready when reporting your accident:

  • policy number
  • agent’s name
  • date of accident
  • location
  • vehicle details
  • witness/other party details
