Although Harleysville does not currently offer comprehensive online policy management services, policyholders are able to make payments and file claims online. Personal, commercial, and life insurance policy payments can be made entirely online (although life insurance customers in Georgia, North Carolina, and Maryland cannot make online/phone payments at this time).
How to Make a Payment
Online payments can be made with a credit/debit card, or via EFT (electronic funds transfer – by using a checking account).
Note: Payments can be made over the phone by calling 1-866-665-4992.
Step 1 – Begin by going to the homepage (http://www.harleysvilleinsurance.com/).
Step 2 – Click the “Make a Payment” link (outlined in red in the below screenshot).
Step 3 – Press the button as outlined below.
Step 4 – Select the type of insurance policy you will be making a payment towards, and then hit the “Continue” button.
Step 5 – Enter your billing/policy number and ZIP code. Click “Continue.”
Step 6 – Provide your payment details (card/bank account information).
File a Claim
Property and casualty insurance policyholders can file a claim 100% online (follow the step-by-step instructions posted below). Flood insurance claims must be filed over the phone (1-800-421-3535), and life insurance claims must be sent via mail (click here for more information regarding filing a claim with Harlesyville).
Step 1 – Go to the Claims page.
Step 2 – Press the “here” link to go to the online claim submission form.
Step 3 – Enter the following details into the corresponding input fields:
- Policy number
- Full name
- Street address
- City, State, ZIP
- Contact phone number
- Date of accident/incident
- Time of accident/incident
- Claim type
- Description of the accident/incident
- Contact details
Step 4 – Press the continue button and provide any other required information to complete the claim filing process.
