MetLife Auto Insurance Login | Make a Payment

Current MetLife auto insurance customers can access their policy information 24/7 by signing in to their online account. Once signed in, users are able to update/change policy or personal information, as well as set up or send payments. The guides posted below explain the general login and registration processes, as well as how to reset an account password and file an auto claim.

How to Log In

Step 1 – Enter www.metlife.com into your browser’s URL bar (or click the ‘Login’ button at the top of this page to go directly to the main account access page).

Step 2 – Once on the homepage, you will see the ‘Customer Login’ form on the right side of the page. Enter your username and password into this form, and then click the ‘Log In’ button.

Forgot Password – If you do not know your account password, click the ‘Forgot username or password?’ link on the homepage (located directly below the input fields in the sign-in form). After clicking this link, a pop-up form will generate. Select the type of policy/account that you have, and then press ‘Next’ button. You will be required to enter the email address associated with your account, and last four digits of your social security number (you can also enter your account number). After entering this information, hit ‘Next’ and follow the on-screen instructions to retrieve/reset your password.

Enroll in Online Access

Step 1 – On the homepage, press the ‘Register Now’ link near the login form.

Note: If you are using the Google Chrome browser, you may be required to register your account with a different web browser (such as IE Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox).

Step 2 – A pop-up registration form will generate. This form is four steps long. In the first section, enter your first name, last name, email address, and type of policy.

Note: Click the ‘Next Step’ button to move on to the next section of the form.

Step 3 – Create your username and password for your account. After entering this information, you will be prompted to confirm your identity for security purposes.

Step 4 – Agree to the terms & conditions/privacy policy to complete the registration process.

Make a Claim

Step 1 – You can file an auto claim over the phone (1-800-854-6011), via the mobile app (download links at the top of the page), or online by signing in to your account (note: you may need to report your claim over the phone if it involves extensive damage. However auto glass/towing claims can be filed 100% online).
