Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Login | Make a Payment

Register for a Northwestern Mutual internet account to gain access to your life insurance policy 24/7 via your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Once you’re enrolled you will be able to make online payments, view important policy information, update certain account details (contact information, etc.), and more. Use the guides below to learn how to navigate the Northwestern website and create/access your online account.

How to Log In

Step 1 – Go to the homepage (https://www.northwesternmutual.com/). Click the login link near the right corner of the page and then select “Personal Insurance & Investments” to go to the main sign-in page.

Step 2 – Enter your username into the input field and hit the login button. After entering the correct password you will be granted access to your account.

Forgot Password/Username – If you don’t know your username/password click the “Username” or “Password” link on the login page. If you are resetting your password then enter your username and hit the continue button. After verifying your identity you will be able to reset your password.

Enroll in Online Access

Step 1 – Go to the main sign-in page and then press the “Register for Online Access” link/button.

Step 2 – Fill in your first name, last name, last four digits of your social security number, and your policy number.

Step 3 – Setup your account (create a username, password, etc.).

Make a Payment

Step 1 – Once you’re enrolled for online access you will be able to make online payments by signing into your account. You will also be able to view your billing/financial history as well.

File a Claim

Step 1 – If you need to report a claim on a life insurance policy then go to this page and click the “Access the Form” link in the “Report Death of Insured” section.

Step 2 – Enter the following details into the form:

  • name
  • date of birth
  • policy number
  • cause of death
  • date of death
  • place of death
  • address
  • city/state/ZIP
  • funeral home information
  • name of estate executor/personal representative
  • name of notifier
  • relationship to deceased
  • address
  • city/state/ZIP
  • home phone number
  • email address

Step 3 – Click the submit button at the bottom of the form to complete the submission of your claim.
