The ‘Policyholder Portal’ allows VPI pet insurance policyholders to manage several aspects of their policies 24/7. Account management features include the ability to update/change payment details, view the status of current claims, download various forms/policy details, and more. Use the guides below to learn how to sign into your account, register a new policy, make a claim, as well as what to do if you forgot your account password.
How to Log In
Step 1 – The first step to accessing your online account is to go to the main account management sign-in page (www.my.petinsurance.com).
Step 2 – Enter your ID and password into the form on the left side of the page.
Forgot Password – Click the ‘Forgot You Password?’ link on the sign-in page. You will be taken to the password reset page. Enter your ID, ZIP code, and name of your pet. Press the ‘Submit’ button to continue the process. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish resetting your password.
Enroll in Online Access
Step 1 – Starting from the ‘Policyholder Portal,’ click the ‘Create a Free Account’ link near the bottom of the page (as outlined below).
Step 2 – Enter your policy number, first/last name, ZIP code, and primary contact number. Press ‘Next’ to go to the next step of the registration process. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions to create your account.
Make a Claim
Step 1 – Go to the main claim page (located here).
Step 2 – In the first section, select your state from the drop-down list.
Step 3 – Click the ‘Download Form’ button to download the claim form. Print the form out.
Step 4 – After your trip to the veterinarian, fill out the claim form (pet’s diagnosis, total costs, etc.).
Step 5 – You can file the claim online by emailing it to [email protected], or by sending it to the Nationwide Claims Department (the street address can be viewed on the main claims page). You can also submit the claim via fax (714-989-5600).
