You can make a payment towards your Commerce auto insurance plan online by signing in to your account (unless your region allows one-time payments – this service varies from state to state). You can also manage other aspects of your auto policy online, such as changing/viewing policy details, requesting updates, setting up recurring payment, and more. Use the guides below to learn how to access your account, register a new account if you’re a new policyholder, and how to file a claim online via the website.
How to Log In
Step 1 – Start by entering www.commerceinsurance.com into your URL bar.
Note: You can also just click the ‘Login’ button at the top of this page.
Step 2 – On the right side of the homepage, click the ‘Manage Your Policy’ tab (outlined in red in the screenshot).
Step 3 – Click the ‘Manage your policy’ button to load the sign-in form.
Step 4 – Enter your ID and password. Press ‘Login’ to gain access to your account.
Forgot Password –
- On the sign-in page, click the ‘Forgot your password?’ link located on the lower-right side of the page.
- Enter your login ID and account email address, and click ‘Email Password’ to have a temporary password emailed to you.

Enroll in Online Access
Step 1 – On the homepage, click ‘Manage your policy’ to be taken to the sign-in page.
Step 2 – Press the ‘Sign Up Now’ button (on the left side of the page) to load the registration form.
Step 3 – Enter your policy number, the full name of the policyholder, mailing address, email address, and password. Click ‘Next’ to continue the account creation process.
Step 4 – Follow the on-screen instructions to finish registering your policy.
Make a Claim
Step 1 – You can report a claim either over the phone (Go to this page, and you will see your state’s claims contact number) or online.
Step 2 – To begin the online submission process, go to www.forms.commerceinsurance.com and select the company that manages your policy (all options are Commerce/MAPFRE-affiliated).
Step 3 – Click ‘Submit an Auto Claim.’ Then select whether you are filing a claim on your own policy, or against someone who has a policy with Commerce/MAPFRE.
Step 4 – On the next page, enter your personal contact information and click the ‘Next’ button.
Note: The submission form is approximately six-steps long (some steps may have multiple sections).
Step 5 – Follow the on-screen instructions to finish reporting your claim. After it has been successfully submitted, an agent will contact you within one business day to continue to claims process.
