State Auto Insurance Login | Make a Payment

State Auto Insurance policyholders can make payments and file claims via the State Auto website. Use the instructional guides posted below to learn how to make an online payment and how to submit a claim. If you want to get new ID cards, update contact details, alter your deductible, add new drivers to your policy, or cancel your policy, you must contact your agent. How to Make a Payment

Step 1 – Begin by going to the homepage (click the login link at the top of this page or enter into your web browser).

Step 2 – Once on the homepage click the “Pay My Bill” ink as outlined in the screenshot below.


Step 3 – Click whether you want to make a one-time payment, or you are already enrolled in the online payment service.

Note: Payments can also be made over the phone by calling 1-800-444-9950.


Step 4 – Enter your account number and then click continue. Provide your payment/contact details and then confirm your payment.


File a Claim

Step 1 – You can submit a claim online or over the phone (800-766-1853).

Step 2 – To file a claim online go to this page and then select the type of claim you want to file.


Step 3 – Enter the required information (about you, policy, accident/loss, vehicle, additional information, etc.) into the form and then submit your claim. After your claim has been reviewed a claims specialist/representative will contact you.
